Its been four days now since two men were hit by a car on Highway 199 in Cave Junction and died. The person who hit them is still on the run.

But a local business owner is doing her part in trying to help the victim's families.

NBC-5's Roma Villavicencio joins us with more.

The hair salon owner put together a haircutting fundraiser today. She says she knew the family of one of the two victims that died in the accident.

Lisa Derov owns salon reflection in Cave Junction and says her community is always willing to help, especially during such a tragic time for the families of the victims.

"I know that all of the kids in the whole family are real close to eachother and you know its pretty devastating when you have something like that happen you know its worse then just a normal accident."

Derov started the fundraiser at 8 am and raised around four hundred dollars.

She charged 5 dollars per haircut and says she hopes the person responsible for the hit and run comes forward.

Derov will be holding another fundraiser at her salon Monday.

Investigators are still following up on leads and are asking if you know anything about this fatal accident to call them at (541) 776-6111.
