Police in Southern Oregon say they're seeing an increase in gang activity. Not like the gangs you might expect to see in places around Los Angeles, California but in some cases, to the same caliber- shootings stabbings and assaults.

That's lead the Jackson County Sheriff's Office to hold a public meeting, shedding light on how gangs operate and how to educate youth to avoid the pressure of joining in.

Medford Police have noticed the number of calls for gang related activities such as fights tagging, loitering and sometimes violent crimes like stabbings, increase.
