People may have noticed quite a green scene at the Rogue Valley Mall today. That's because hundreds of local girl scouts gathered there earlier this afternoon. They're celebrating 100 years of the girl scout organization.

Gabriella Kelly, a Brownie, tells us,
"You get these festivals, you get these parties. You get to raise money so you can have your own parties. It's just great being a Girl Scout."

Today's event included a fashion show, crafts, cake, and fun for all.
Girl scouts of all ages say they're gearing up for another great year.
As for this year... they're calling 2012 the year of the girl.
