Governor John Kitzhaber is headed to the Rogue Valley Tuesday to talk economics.

The Oregon Governor, along with First Lady Cylvia Hayes will be touring the valley, and meeting with local leaders.

The big topic: Economic priorities, as well as opportunities here in the valley.

The two will begin with a event highlighting the work of the Maslow Project, and wrap up the day with tours of the Ashland Food Project, as well as Brammo, an Ashland electric motorcycle company.

Meanwhile, Oregon State officials are saying Governor Kitzhaber's health plan will likely pass, even if the federal plan does not.

The Supreme Court is set to rule on the federal health law's individual mandate within a month.

That will decide whether or not everyone needs to pay for health insurance, or face a fine.

Meanwhile, Governor Kitzhaber's plan features new coordinated care organizations, aimed at helping low-income patients.

Officials are also saying the decision will not affect the $1.9 billion that federal health officials tentatively agreed to give to Oregon.
