Grants Pass, Ore. -- A Grants Pass mother is behind bars tonight after allegedly abusing at least one of her eight children.

Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Chuck Mickley said Katherine Parker was arrested Tuesday at her home on Southeast Marjean Lane. He said her arrest stemmed from a 43 count indictment issued by a Multnomah County grand jury.

Parker is being held at Josephine County Jail and faces 24 counts of criminal mischief, four counts of first-degree assault, four counts of computer crime, one count of child abandonment, four counts of identity theft, five counts of witness tampering, and one count of recklessly endangering another person.

Parker's bail is set at $1,195,000. Mickley said Parker's arraignment date will be set after she is transferred to Multnomah County.
