Here in the Valley people were also out helping today.

22 National Guard volunteers came out this afternoon to help support the Access food share.

Volunteers cleaned up both the Medford and Central Point food share gardens.

The goal of today's project was to get the gardens winter ready.

"The mission today is getting this food share ready for the winter. So they need to take down their sprinkler, they need to pick whatever remaining food they have left, and then they need to cut down what's growing, so it can mulch."

The food share gardens provide fresh produce to local emergency food pantries.
