Back in the Rogue Valley, tonight a Medford family has a new place to call home.

The community gathered to welcome the Gury family to their home built by Habitat for Heros, a new program related to Habitat for Humanity.

The program helps veterans and their families get back on their feet.

The family says they couldn't be happier.

"I'm real happy. To be totally honest, I don't know what to do.
I don't know, scream for joy or cry for joy. It's super exciting just knowing that my family is going to have a stable house and a stable place to live thanks to Habitat for Humanity."

More homes for other veterans and their families are expected to be built nearby.
