Habitat for Humanity has announced a new edition to the international board-- with local ties to the Rogue Valley.

Elizabeth Crossman has been elected chair of habitat's international board of directors, the first female chair in habitat's 35-year history.

Crossman currently serves on the Rogue Community College Foundation board and has previously served on the Scholarship America Board.

Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to building houses for low-income families in nearly 80 countries around the world.
