Starting today, Ashland residents will be hearing helicopters in the morning, as watershed thinning gets underway. Officials say the helicopter can be heard starting at 7 am each morning but that crews will work in areas farther from town on the weekends to reduce the noise impact.
The Four Corners Trailhead will be closed in the White Rabbit Trail area. It will be used as a base for the helicopter crews.
Information on which trails that are still open will be posted at ashland watershed.org
