Police say the Crater High School Science teacher was advised by her attorney that led to her arrest Thursday morning.
It's the next step following a three month investigation into the alleged inappropriate sexual relationship between 28 year-old Sarah Louise Swanson-Suhrstedt and an 18 year-old student. Police say they are confident that the cell phone texts and computer evidence will lead to a misdemeanor conviction of Official Misconduct in the first degree. The allegations started during the school year when some students talked to school counselors about the incident. The former Crater teacher has since resigned and the school district says they have reviewed their policy, but didn't feel the need to change anything. Swanson-Suhrstedt, was being help on $4,000 bail but is no longer on the county's inmate list.
