Sisikyou Summit Hit With Snow

Falling snow levels this afternoon closed down interstate five momentarily and could make that possible this evening. Snow Showers are about as hit and miss as the road conditions with patchy snow in areas that sustain high winds. Road crews have used deicer and plows to clear the interstate but most back roads continue to collect snow. Changing driving conditions are also challenging drivers, like altitude, temperature, and skill level have led to some close calls. If the snow gets too bad, there could be a chain requirement.
