House fire sends 2 to the hospital in critical condition

Cave Junction, Ore. -- A late night house fire erupted in a Cave Junction home Monday night.

The call came in around 11:30pm Monday of a home on fire in the 5200 block of Takilma Road just outside Cave Junction.

According to officials two people were received 2nd and 3rd degree burns due to the fire. Both victims were transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center. One was air-lifted by Mercy helicopter while the other was transported by ambulance.

It is currently unclear how the fire started, but fire investigators will be on scene working to determine the cause.

During the fire, officials reported ammunition and propane tanks going off due to the fire.
