Schools in Jackson County will soon receive a portion of Oregon's Common School Fund.
Of the $24 million that the state will pay out, Jackson County schools will receive nearly $1.2 million.
The fund, which was established to distribute state land funds to schools, is overseen by a number of Oregon officials including Governor John Kitzhaber, and Secretary of State Kate Brown.
The amount each district receives is based on how many schools and how much land each district takes up.
Here's a look at how much each district will receive.
- Medford: $544,146
- Phoenix-Talent: $116,935
- Ashland: $118,646
- Central Point: $195,531
- Eagle Point: $181,430
- Rogue River: $41,416
- Prospect: $9,827
- Butte Falls: $6,610
- Pinehurst: $1,615
