A new poll shows Americans are split on how much the government should do to dissuade people from eating junk food.
We know obesity is a national problem which needs to be addressed, but when it comes to the government stepping in there are mixed feelings on how far it should go.
An Associated Press poll says a third of people think the government should do more to limit junk food consumption. Another third say they don't want the government involved in the issue. The rest are somewhere in the middle.
The poll shows nearly six in ten people oppose taxing unhealthy foods, as in a soda tax. Three quarters said they're against outlawing certain foods or drinks altogether.
Most people agreed on one thing; Eight in ten said all restaurants should be required to display the calorie count and health details on the foods they serve.
