A task force has been put together by Oregon Governor Kitzhaber, to clean up debris from the 2011 Japan tsunami.
Mike Caldwel, interem director of the State's Office of Emergency Management, will lead the Oregon Tsunami Debris Task Force.
This follows a number of instances of washed up debris, including a 132-ton dock, that is costing the state $85,000 to remove.
The governors from both Oregon and Washington are seeking federal financial help.
The first task force meeting will take place this Thursday.
