Local Schools Miss State English Language Target

English Language learning students in Oregon are making strides, but are still failing to meet state requirements.

Over 350 of Jackson County's 2,000 english language learning students were deemed proficient to move out of the program.

That number is an improvement from last year.

Students must excel through five levels of language proficiency before exiting the program.
