A man who leaped of the Debs Potts Memorial Bridge in Grants Pass, Oregon is said to be in good condition. Police haven't said why he jumped but that they were looking for him days before.

Police and sheriff's deputies got a call from the family of Jack Powell days before he jumped of the bridge fearing for his welfare. They couldn't find him until Thursday morning when a passer-by saw him go over the edge. Powell fell around forty feet into the Rogue River and was swept around 600 feet down stream. The passerby called police who eventually found him partially submerged in the water near some bushes. Some are surprised he survived, not only the fall, the cold water, the rocks and shallow water but that he was seen and found thirty minutes later. Police say there are possible charges for jumping a bridge- Disorderly conduct, but charges have been file against the man.
