Cave Junction, Ore. -- Barrett Kearney said he woke up to six armed robbers in his house. He said they were carrying AK-47's.
Kearney said the men kicked down his door claiming they were police with a warrant.
"They thought they were going to find a bunch of money or drugs which there's none of. Once they realized nothing was here they just went for my car," said Kearney.
He said they took his green 1997 Volkswagen GTI and his guns but left him and his dog unharmed. He called the Josephine County Sheriff's office, they responded hours later.
"Dispatch called me back saying nobody was available to make it because the crime didn't qualify," said Kearney.
Kearney's now hoping deputies will find whoever broke into his house on a night he wishes was just a dream.
"The only thing going through my head was hoping that this was a bad joke and somebody was going to pop their hood off and say 'haha I got you!'"
Kearney said he does not believe he knows the suspects and didn't get a good description because they were wearing masks.
