A Medford man will spend 7 and a half years in prison, after assaulting a bar employee. Frankie Parker was found guilty on first-degree robbery and strangulation, among other charges.

They stem from his arrest in April, when Parker lost $700 on a video lottery game at Rumors Lounge. After the bar closed, Parker returned, and demanded his money back, assaulting a 61-year old female employee.

The woman's husband was able to fight him off, and he fled the scene. Police found Parker a short time later, hiding behind a garbage can at the Mill Wood Inn.
