Medford could soon be home to a casino, the first of it's kind here in the valley.

The Coquille Indian Tribe has purchased Roxy Ann Lanes and Kim's Restaurant.

The tribe paid $1.6 million for the bowling alley, and 675,000 for the former restaurant in hopes of opening the casino.

Currently, the closest casino to the Medford area is in Canyonville, just south of Roseburg.

More information about the casino is expected to be released Friday.
