The Medford Police Department is looking to raise pedestrian awareness, with a sting happening on Friday.

MPD is conducting a “targeted pedestrian enforcement” operation, at Poplar and Progress drive.

It's taking place from 11:30 A.M. to 2:30 in the afternoon.

Police will use a decoy pedestrian to see if drivers stop.

Violators will be pulled over, and cited by police for a fine up to $260!

So remember, there is a crosswalk at every intersection, regardless if it is marked or  unmarked!
