Jackson County Police agencies teamed up over Memorial day weekend to remove impaired drivers from the roadway.

Police agencies say they arrested nine drivers for driving under the influence, two for drugs, and three for warrants.

A number of citations were also handed out. Those include nine citations for driving with a suspended license, five for driving uninsured, and forty-one for miscellaneous traffic violations.

Officials say their goal was to make the roadway safer for everyone.
