Missing elderly man with Alzheimer's has been found

Medford, Ore. -- Update: Medford Police report George Watters has been found and is in good health. Watters was found in Yreka, California.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue have now joined the search for 81-year-old George Watters. A possible sighting of Watters was reported around 3:30pm in the Applegate Dam area. Search and Rescue searched the area Sunday night but there is still no sign of the missing elderly man with alzheimers.

Medford police say Watters was reported missing Sunday morning. Watter's wife says when she went to check on him around 8:30am and.he and their car were missing.

Police received a tip he may have been near Skinner Auto-Plex around 11am on Sunday asking for directions. The family believes his Alzheimer’s is severe enough that he might not be able to find his way home.

Watters is described as  5'9'', 170 pounds with a full head of brown hair, brown or hazel eyes and his left eye droops. He'd likely be driving a navy blue (*almost black) Buick Lasabre 4-door with Oregon plates W-R-V 5-3-8.
