Update (9:08pm - March 4th, 2013): 14 year old Starla Carrero has been found alive and well. Stay with NBC5 for updates.
The mother of 14 year old Starla Carrero spent the day hanging flyers around the Rogue Valley in hopes that someone has seen her daughter.
Starla was last seen at the Bear Creek Skatepark around 5 o'clock Saturday evening..
The Medford Police Department immediately began investigating the case as a potential runaway since Carrero has taken off on the bus in the past.
"She has occasionally ridden the bus into Medford on her own and not told us where she was going to be but she's always come back by usually 9o'clock," said Andrea Carrero, mother of Starla.
It's now been two nights and Carrero hasn't been home.
The fact that she left her skateboard and backpack with money in it frightens her mother and concerns police.
"When belongings are left there, that's a big concern, a red flag that maybe she didn't leave on her own," said Mike Budreau, Medford Police Department.
Because Carrero has family and friends in the Portland area authorities from the Rogue Valley and up the I-5 corridor have been alerted of Carrero's disappearance.
Carrero's mother hopes someone will see her and let her know she's wanted back home.
Carrero is described at 5'2'' about 130 pounds with black hair and last seen wearing a teal sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
