Some good news for Oregon residents, as rates on natural gas are on the decline.

On Wednesday the public utility commission announced they have ordered three companies, including Avista, to lower their rates for natural gas based on the lower prices they are paying for gasoline.

The reductions among the natural gas companies range from 6.9 % to 17.3 %.

Oregon receives their gas primarily from Canada and the Rocky Mountain region.
