A new state law in effect as of Wednesday July 11th, will help struggling Oregon home owners consider other options when facing a foreclosure.

It will cost borrowers a total of $200 to meet with their lender and mediator in hopes of lowering the foreclosure rate in Oregon.

Borrowers will receive a letter in the mail about the service. If they would like to set up an appointment they will have to call their lender.
