Ashland, Ore. -
The City of Ashland is looking for experienced professional artists to create a public piece for the downtown area. The new installation will be at Gateway Island, which is across the street from the Ashland Library and Fire Station One.
Five qualified artists will be selected to develop concepts for the project. From that one artist will be selected to complete the piece. That person will be awarded up to 100,000 dollars. That money comes from Ashland's 'Transient Occupancy Tax.'
The City is expecting this project to be completed Fall of 2016.
