Opening Act: Britt Tests New Alcohol Policy

Britt opened their fiftieth celebration of the outdoor music festival with a Bay Area rock band Primus. At the same time trying out their new alcohol policy.

Primus, a funky-alternative rock group has a following. The band led by Bass Player Less Claypool opened the doors at Britt Festival and the box office exceeded ticket sales. But a new alcohol policy has put a limit on three other bands where outside "hard alcohol" is not allowed inside. A long tradition where spirits, wine and beer have been allowed has been changed because of their "rowdy" music and following. Some home owners in the historic Jacksonville area know how crazy things can get, many of them are not big fans of the big rock groups nor the trash that people leave behind.
