With it's rolling hills, scenic vistas, and mild climate - Oregon ranks number one for top move- to destination in 2013... that's according to the nation's largest household moving company - nited UVan Lines.
"I knew I was going to retire here," says Barbara Jannette McDowell. She recently moved to Central Point from New Mexico. "We have the finest medical, shopping, close to everything can be out camping in five minutes," says McDowell.
"There's kind of an amalgam of reasons to come here," says Lema.
John L. Scott realtor Alice Lema says her observance is active retirees are flocking to the beaver state... many for one main reason:"We look amazingly affordable!" Lema says that's impacting our local housing market. "Our inventory is drying up very fast, and now that we are on yet another list it's going to get very hard for our local buyers to find anything," Lema tells us.
Which, isn't making some Oregonians happy - dozens of comments following therelease of this study demonstrate that.
"We're a little gold secret," says Lema.
"Not a secret any more," comments reporter.
