Police Search For Homicide Suspect

Police in Coos Bay are currently on the hunt for a suspect possibly involved in a homicide over the weekend.

The alleged incident occurred Saturday evening on the 800 block of Augustine Avenue.

Police say they received a 911 call just after 9 o'clock Saturday night.

After responding, they found 55 year old Randall Harless lying in the driveway with severe injuries.

Harless was transported to the Bay Area Hospital and was declared dead on arrival.

Investigators say Harless died as a result of homicidal violence, but the exact cause of death will not be announced until after a scheduled autopsy Tuesday.

Police say the suspect is still on the loose and they needĀ the public'sĀ assistance is finding him.

The suspect is described as an adult male, approximately 5'10'', and weighing between 180 to 200 pounds.

He was last seen moving toward Empire Lakes on Augustine Avenue Saturday around 9 pm.
