On Wednesday morning Medford Police arrested 33-year-old Tommy Loftis after a search warrant of his Gold Hill home revealed methamphetamine and also a large amount of stolen property that detectives believe he was trading for drugs.

Victims like Medford resident Sam Lopini are frustrated that thieves are targeting their homes.

"There is nothing worse than having your things stolen especially from your very porch," said Lopini.

Medford Police are reminding residents to document serial numbers of their property which greatly enhances the likelihood of it being recovered.

For property that does not have a serial number, Medford Police suggest engraving the item with an identifying mark, such as your Driver's License number.
