The Ashland City Council will consider whether to raise water rates on residential users by 12.7% and sewer rates by 10%.
The rate increases would go into effect on June 8.

The combined water and sewer bill for an average single-family home would rise from $58.84 per month now to $63.86 per month.

The City Council plans to meet at 7 PM Tuesday in the Ashland Civic Center Council Chambers to further discuss the issue.
