There's a lot to talk about this election season. With some hot campaigns going on right here in Southern Oregon.

In Jackson County, three people are running for the District Attorney seat when current District Attorney, Mark Huddleston retires. That has created more movement than if only on person had run for the seat. There's also a good collection of candidates running for County Commissioner position 2. Four Republicans and three Democrats. There's also a lot of talk about a tax levy in Josephine county that is on the ballot to support public safety services.Measure 17.43. Other notable positions include Jackson County Assessor and Surveyor. Both seats are being contested by non-partisans. Election officials say it's not a good idea to mail your ballot this close to the election date. They must be turned in by May 15, 2012 before 8 p.m.

Here's a list of locations:
The Ashland, Central Point and Eagle Point Library, the Jackson County Elections Office (24 hours) in Medford, the Jackson County in downtown Medford, or in Rogue River at the city hall.
