New at six, due to budget cuts, Rogue Community College, may lose their theater department.

The school will make a decision this July as to whether they should close the drama program  for the 2012/2013 academic year. Those involved, say it's a vital part of RCC's educational offerings.

"We have math and science, which is the brains of RCC, Music which is the voice, and Theater which is spiritual. To lose the chance to perform would be tragic," said Paige Morgan.

Students and community members are petitioning the school board.
So far they have already gathered almost 900 signatures.
