Medford, Ore. -- Multiple fire agencies responded to the 9000 block of East Evans Creek Road in rural Rogue River for a house fire around 9:40pm Wednesday night.

According to Evans Valley Fire District 6 Chief William Fuller the cause is believed to be a wood stove inside the home.

Chief Fuller said the owners were home at the time and were able to make it out safely.
