(1/26/12) Police have made an unusual bust in Sams Valley by arresting a man for possessing a boxed meth lab among other things.  Police say the boxed lab found in Kevin Lyle Cory’s trailer was not an active lab but it did possess all the toxic chemicals needed to make the devastating drug. Boxed meth labs contain everything needed to make meth. The kits include Glassware, chemicals, sludge, and turkey basters. And lately they're a rare find in Jackson County. One of the reasons why there's less locally-made meth is because of a law requiring that pseudoephedrine be sold from behind the counter. That law made it harder to be a small town meth maker. Cory is currently lodged in Jackson county jail.. His bail is set at 546-thousand dollars.
