It was a special morning for kids from St. Vincent de Paul Society in Ashland. They got a chance to shop with a cop at the South Medford Wal-Mart.

It's the 4th annual 'Shop With a Cop' morning where sixteen kids in need got a one hundred dollar gift card to shop with an Ashland police officer for any toys they wanted.

"Taking the time, special for today, to be able to give them these toys for christmas and being able to interact with us in a different way. Its going to help with interactions in the future."

A total of 16-hundred dollars in toy purchases were donated to the kids. A thousand came from Wal-Mart and 600 from the Ashland Police Department.
