Skateboarders from all over the valley came together Saturday, all for a good cause.

Several dozen skateboards took to the Bear Creek Skate Park to compete in this years "Medford Mayhem."

This year proceeds from the annual event all went to the family of 16 year old Matt Hankey who is recovering from venous malformation... a disease that can cause speech loss, brain damage, even death.

"We've been doing 'Medford Mayhem' for 6 years now and this year we thought all the proceeds would go to Matt instead of the Medford Skatepark which goes towards repairs and stuff....now they'll just go to Matt"

Hankey survived but he can't speak and his movement is limited.

If you would like to to help out with Hankey's medical expenses, there is a fund set up at US Bank or you can donate online at www.gofundme.com/woyfo.
