A massive snow storm closed most of the roads leading out of Southern Oregon leaving drivers with little options.

Interstate 5 Southbound was closed overnight to travelers trying to get over the Siskiyou Pass because continuous snowfall made driving dangerous. Today both directions were open but not to everyone. Chain restrictions turned some people around adding more stress to their travels. There are 27 states in the U.S with chain laws including California, Oregon & Washington. They allow transportation officials to close down roads and regulate traffic during weather related and non weather related emergencies. Relief came slowly as the weather let up allowing road crews to take control but at some point people were literally stuck in Southern Oregon with no way out.
