A snowshoeing couple and their two basset hounds are safe after being lost for hours in the Page Mountain Snow Park in Cave Junction.
Police said around 11 in the evening on Friday, they received reports of the missing couple.
Josephine County search and rescue teams were sent out in the 20-degree weather and after a little over an hour, the couple and their dogs were found.
According to police, the couple had only been prepared to be out for a couple hours. All they had was some water and two lighters. Officials said the snowshoers accidentally went down an unmarked forest service road.
Luckily even with the frigid temperatures, authorities said, they did not need medical attention.
