After years of anticipation as well as much controversy, the South Medford Walmart officially opened their doors today.
With the cut of a ribbon, the store was open for business with plently of customers wanting to shop. Many of them preiviously made the commute to Eagle Point to shop at the Super Walmart.
The grand opening coincides with the closing of the Talent Walmart, and the renovation of the North Medford Walmart which will reopen next year. All of the employees are now employed under one roof inside the new facility.
Inside Walmart you'll find fresh produce, some of it locally grown. The floors are made from recycled material and LED lights turn off when there is little activity.
The store is located off Highway 99 and Garfield. They are open 7 days a week, 24 hours day.
