Suicide notes give insight into Coos Bay shooter

Coos Bay, Ore. -- Suicide notes give a disturbing insight into a Coos Bay man who fatally shot two people before turning the gun on himself Tuesday.

32 year old Zachary Brimhall drove to Bastendorf Beach where he opened fire on at least five cars killing one man who was sleeping.
Brimhall's father was found dead later that day on a logging road.

The suicide notes were found in a notebook in Brimhall's car and they were apparently written about three hours after he'd killed his father.

According to the notes Brimhall says he'd suffered from mental illness his entire life. he wrote that he'd reached a point where we would either kill himself.....or kill others then himself.
chilling he wrote.."I chose the latter"

The notes were released today by the Coos County District Attorney.
