Over a dozen members of Jackson County search and rescue comb for clues in a north Ashland field.

"I've got some friends that live down in the trailer home so now im concerned obviously I didn't realize this had happened."

Jackson County Sheriff's deputies got a call Thursday to check on someone in the Bear Creek Mobile Home Park deputies say that's when they found a body inside the home

"It's close to home and its kind of frightening I hope it isn't somebody going around  burglary or related kind of thing."

As of Friday night law enforcement remain tight-lipped, as neighbors try to cope with losing someone they know but not knowing how it happened.

"We have a communal mail box and I've met him before and he was a very pleasant person and I'm very sad to see that happen."

"I hope they solve this case and put us all to rest here I don't like having to worry about locking my doors and all of that."

NBC 5 will continue following this investigation and give updates as soon as we get them.
