That is the top story at 6.
A suspect who allegedly attempted to initiate inappropriate contact with young girls in three different cases is now behind bars.

NBC 5's Jennifer Elliott is live in our medford newsroom with the late breaking story.

41 year old Leon Douglas Remstedt Jr. was arrested at gun point Saturday from a home on Holly Street in West Medford.

Around 11 am more than 7 sheriff's vehicles surrounded the home.
The owner's originally denying Remstedt's presence.

However, as deputies waited outside he tried to escape by jumping out a window and running.

"the street was empty except for passing traffic, i kept peeking and all of sudden this guy came running out of the house," said Barbara McLeod.

Armed deputies arrested the man at gunpoint. The occupants of the home were also arrested for hindering prosecution.
Remstedt faces charges including possession of meth, parole violation, felon in possession of a weapon, attempting to elude police, three counts reckless endangering, driving while suspended, and possession of heroin.

Charges have not yet been filed in connection with the circumstances involving the three girls, but may be pending.
