Klamath Falls, Ore. -- A project to replace Modoc Field at Klamath Union High School has already been hit by vandals.

According to Bill Schmeck, with Winema Electric, said his crews installed new wire at the field on Tuesday and vandals stole nearly 700 dollars worth of wire by Wednesday morning "They could have gotten away with a lot more, but the wire was just too heavy."

To make matters worse, Winema Electric had donated the wire for the project.

Modoc Field is currently undergoing a $1.5-million renovation.
