Officials in Curry county say two men who were thought to have drowned in the Rogue River, actually were killed by heart attacks.

Reports indicate 57 year old Steven Hoyer and 66 year old Steven Boyd both suffered heart attacks due to the stress of the river near Blossom Bar.

Officials say Hoyer was rafting on July 12 of this year, wearing a life jacket and helmet when he was found.

Then five days later, Boyd struck his head on a rock in the same section.

The investigation will continue this week.
