Top officials with the Jackson County sheriff's department will be trying to figure out just how to save important needs.

This, after a recent report reveals the department is facing a 2 million dollar budget gap.

The department will split the bill between the patrol and jail divisions by not filling nearly 10 open positions.

However, officials say the county will not have to cut jail beds, like Josephine and Curry counties.
