Domestic violence advocates and survivors are calling on Congress to approve an extension of the Violence Against Women law.
The extension that would allocate funds to help pay for police and prosecutors not just for women but for Native Americans, undocumented immigrants and Gay, Lesbian and Transgender victims.
U.S. Senator Ron Wyden supports the extension but house republicans have backed out of the extension, putting it on hold.
