Jackson County Sheriff's officials have confirmed the man who was shot was 49 year-old Mark Corsbie of Medford.
Corsbie was also sentenced to 70 months in prison for a second degree robbery conviction in January of 2004.
They also report that his second wife filed a restraining order against him in March of this year.
On Monday, Corsbie tried to make his way into several White City homes, telling homeowners he was being chased.
He eventually forced himself into a home on the 7800 block of Andrea Drive where the homeowner shot Corsbie once in the torso with a .357 caliber handgun.
The homeowner was taken to police headquarters where he was questioned and released.
Police officials say they believe he was just acting in self-defense protecting his home.
