The United States Senate has voted through the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act.

The act it's now on it's way to President Obama for a signature.

The FDA Safety and Innovation Act will provide more than $6 billion  to the FDA, over the next five years, all to fund part of the agency’s review of drugs and medical devices.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to release it's ruling on the affordable care act on Thursday.

Officials are calling this the last major health care legislation before the fall elections.
